In 2017, I started The Blockchain and Us to build a community and learn from smart people in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. The project is not primarily financially driven. I conduct the interviews in this podcast out of my own interest to learn from pioneers, thought leaders, and experts about technology and their journey and to make their stories available to listeners. At the same time, producing this podcast costs money and needs sponsors to survive. Therefore, proper disclosure and disclaimers are necessary.
The short version:
- All advertising and sponsorship in this podcast is disclosed as such.
- Sponsors of this podcast have no say about the content of the podcast.
- Some interviewees have links to sponsors of this podcast, but their appearance in this podcast has nothing to do with that and only with the fact that I believe their personal experience fits in this podcast and has value for listeners.
Additional disclosure: No statements by me or my interviewees are investment advice, and anyone with an interest in cryptoassets should consult professional advice before investing. I am an advisor to companies that are active in this sector. Some of my interviewees have a link with companies I work with, but my focus is on portraying their personal journey in the crypto economy and not advocating any investment or promoting the companies they work for. Some companies I work with are sponsors of episodes, and some interviewees have links to companies that sponsor this podcast. Whenever there is advertising and sponsorship in the podcast, I disclose it as such, for instance, “This episode is brought to you by …”. The sponsorship slots in the podcast is the only thing sponsors pay for. They could never buy an interview in the podcast without disclosing sponsorship.
